I bought 11 in total. Couldn't really name a 'best bargain' though as they were all roughly the same price - £5-8.

Heroes boxset for £22. Cheaper than the DVD let alone HD.

I guess 'best bargain' would be some of the AUS ones that were $7 each. Can't remember how many I had before the sales (was roughly 40-50) but I now have 122. My fave's are my bladerunner briefcase, heroes season 1 and T2 Ultimate edition (german one).

still plenty of ones for sale cheap so fire sale is not really over yet, the hut/amazon.co.uk/amazon.com/ezy dvd etc, etc.

I have battlestar galactica seson 1 box set for £12.70 off amazon marketplace as my bargain.

For me it was the three Bourne films for £20 from Play. Three brilliant films for £6.66 each. Also just bought Blood Diamond and The Kingdom for £4.99 each from HMV.

Re: What fire sale hd-dvds have you got and what was your biggest bargain?

I've been remarkably restrained and only bought one, Tremors from Play.com at £2.99 (£4.99 less a £2 discount voucher).

Much as I love HD-DVD I can't make myself go out and buy lots of cheap disks because at some point in the future I'll have lots of disks and a faulty disc player.......

Just picked up the Star Trek Original Series 1 Box Set for less than £20 delivered! (amazon... now back up to £100 )

Sounds like a bargain to me!

I would've considered it at that price. As it is I've just got Apollo 13 and the Big Lobowski for a fiver each. The recent BBC version of Bleak House for £8.

Cheers

Re: What fire sale hd-dvds have you got and what was your biggest bargain?

Transformers, heroes, planet earth, v for vendetta, 300, american gangster, last samurai, training day, batman begins, superman returns, awaiting king kong. have only really seen transformers and it is just breathtaking on my new 42inch 1080p LCD!

I have a ps3 and dont have any blu-rays yet but this hd-dvd drive through the 360 / PC is nothing short of sensational. Cant see myself getting any blu-rays anytime soon!!!

Any more recommendations to pick up on hd-dvd?

Re: What fire sale hd-dvds have you got and what was your biggest bargain?

My total collection is around 40 HD-DVDs. Unfortunately most were bought before the format war ended but I did pick up 10 from Currys Online last week for £4.93 each!

Bought all I want from Currys and Asda, can anyone point me to any others still selling off stock? Tried a link to HMV but it no longer worked.

Would love to get Star Trek S1 if its cheap enough and a relative wants the Matrix trilogy.

David

EDIT - I see HMVs main link still works so just browsing that!
