Men In Black

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones film 'Men in Black' to Blu-ray on June 17th. While no specs have been announced at this time, expect a 1080p AVC video presentation along with Dolby TrueHD audio track. Exclusive to the Blu-ray release will be a BD-Live trivia game where up to eight people can connect online to test their 'Men in Black' knowledge.

More information should be made available Monday when the release is officially announced.

Re: Men In Black

Chelsea.tone It would be handy if you would indicate in the thread title and text if these are US or UK releases... Not all of us have US machines!

I presume MIB is a US release, region coding presently unknown??

Re: Men In Black

My copy is .... " Men In Black [Blu-ray] Awaiting Stock Pick

We will despatch this to you on or before 16/06/2008. Est: 16/06/2008 1 1 £12.33 "

from Asda.

Whoopee! I had always hoped/Expected that there would be a Third film to balance the Trilogy but - apart from the Animated series - it was Not.. Is Not, Has Not? - To Be.

Re: Men In Black

Got mine this morning - just had a quick skim through it. Looks very nice.

Awful sticker on the slipcase though promoting Hancock, a real pain to get off.

Got mine through this morning too, managed to get both stickers off the slipcase without ripping it but plenty of nasty glue residue left, any idea how to get that off?

Take the sticker you have removed or some sellotape and keep pressing in gently against the residue and pulling it off - works for me.

Yeah I had to do this too, works wells. Someone wasn't thinking when deciding to put those on without putting a wrapper over it first

I take it the BD Live content isn't actually accessible until the official release date? I can't get mine to work yet!

Any word if this is cut (as the previous DVD releases)? I read that the BBFC did something to the dialogue...

This movie and Bluray transfer rules! Tommy Lee Jones should be cheesed off as blu ray shows every gaping chasm in his face. Didn't notice any cuts unlike the hack job Sony did to Welcome to the Jungle!

I did some research. According to dvdcompare.net it's a minor dialogue replacement
Quote:
United Kingdom - (Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment) - The BBFC have overdubbed 2 aggresive uses of the word "prick" by the lesser cusse of "jerk". The offending lines of dialogure are "You insensitive prick" and "I just hope the little prick hasn't skipped town".
So it's no deal breaker for me. But I'm still curious if the BD is the "prick" or "jerk" version Anyone?

The US Version is uncut as thats the copy I imported. No Idea on the UK BD release though but I'll bet it's still dubbed over.
