Punisher - Blu-ray playback problems?

Hi,
anyone had any problems with this region A disk? It does appear to try read the disk , the read symbol stays on for about 30 seconds but that's all. There appears to be nothing I can do to get it running;must say I've seen nothing like this before.

Sorry Mekon, it played no problems in my Reg A PS3. Is your machine fully up to date with its lastest firmware?

Thanks Mark,
I've now carefully examined the disk in good light and there appears to be a fault in the substrate layer. Runs about a quarter of the way from the centre through the disk. Not seen anything like this before but as it's a new disk I'll send it back and get a replacement. I wasn't sure whether this title had any general issues but this looks like a one fault with this disk now.
