Strange 'Atonement' HD-DVD subtitles problem

Watched Atonement on HD-DVD tonight and it looks absolutely stunning. However, during the subtitled scenes, a small chunk of text is missing on the left-hand side of the writing every time. I wondered whether anyone else has had this or if it's just a faulty disc.
Would be grateful to know!
