Beowulf HD DVD

I recived this film this yesterday, what a Film, the picture quality is sublime, the audio is simply amazing, I didn't see the film at the cinema and heard mixed reviews at the time especialy about the 3D. I'm a massive fan of all amination and this does not disappoint, the story if you dont know it, which I didn't, does stray from the poem alittle, but not to the detriment of the film.
The story is quite compelling and expertly told and you seem to just flow through the film in amazement all the time.
I know that HD DVD is supposed to be dying but its worth it for films like this and transformers, If you haven't ordered this yet I urge you to.

GREAT example of what is achevable nowadays!

Re: Beowulf HD DVD

I just got this today, and hope it lives up to the 3D experience of when I saw it at the cinema.

Re: Beowulf HD DVD

I was going to buy it blind on HD DVD but I got to watch it on DVD and while from a technical point of view it was impressive even in SD it lacked something even when compared to the TV movie version of the story "Grendel".

Yes and No. Please use the search function out here to hunt for the buried Beowulf threads which contains enough information including the disc statistics.

Re: Beowulf HD DVD

Sorry, but it wasn't like i created a new thread or anything. If you already know the answer it can't hurt to post it can it? I supposed this forum was about helping people.

EDIT: Just tried the search engine again but could still not find anything. So if anyone knows if the Warner release has the same High Def exclusive extras the Paramount release has i would appreciate it.
