As Sony have not finished the Profile required to allow PiP, does anyone know if all HD DVD Discs have this option. Have just been looking at a friend's copy of 300 on HD, and the PiP option is terrific.

Re: Picture in Picture

If the disc has PiP on it, every HD DVD player should be able to play it.

Re: Picture in Picture

I don't think all HD-DVDs have 'Picture-in-picture'. It's just a special feature. As far as I'm aware only one of my HD-DVDs has this option and that is 300.

Re: Picture in Picture

I realise that it would be too much to expect it to be in every HD release, but was hoping this facility could be found on most newer films made - Transformers - King Kong - Troy etc.

All of those movies have it - though in Troy's case, make sure to get the theatrical release and not the Director's cut.

...+ all the discs mentioned above, + the two latest Harry Potter movies + most of the second half season one of the Heroes HD-DVD discs + American Gangster (I think, still waiting for my copy).

Again I think U-Control is just a special feature, seperate to PIP but I could be wrong. I forgot about Transformers having PIP I've got that, and Children of Men which has U-control. I thought U-Control was more than just PIP I think it displays various information, but like I say I'm no expert

Re: Picture in Picture

American releases I think. The UK ones shouldn't be any different providing they did come out here.
