CES 2008: Toshiba Press Conference ' Page 1 HDDVD : The Beginning Of The End'?

Here is a link to a report on the Toshiba Press Conference for those of us who haven't been sent the link by a Play-ground Fight Fan ...

http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/ne...-Conference/p1

" I'm not sure what Toshiba had originally planned for its CES Press conference, but I'm fairly certain that it hadn't expected to be talking about one the major movie studio supporters of HD DVD leaving the format out in the cold. Jodi Sally - VP of Marketing A/V - took to the stage to express her bewilderment at Warner Brothers' decision to stop its support for HD DVD and instead jump solely into the Blu-ray camp. I have to say that I was a little shell shocked at Warner Brothers' announcement a couple of days ago, especially when you consider that some of the most spectacular examples of HD DVD's capabilities over the past 12 months have come from Warner Brothers. Must have been a very awkward press conference

You appear to have left the '?' from your title....or was that on purpose?

I was actually worried there that is was going to report that Tosh had announced the closure of HD DVD production lines, you wouldn't think a little question mark had such impact

Entirely un-intended ... the swiftness of the typing deceives the eye and the ' edit your post ' option wont let me insert a ? into the title, so if the moderator thinks it appropriate so to do then thats all right by me ... though come to think of it my slip might have produced a more accurate title than the original.

Maybe not the OP's intent but isn't this thread just more anti HD-DVD pro BR propaganda? Do we really need more of that at the moment?

Toshiba so far it seems are still reeling and have yet to announce what their intentions are AFAIK.

Given this reply by the OP, you could be right.
