I just don't understand why the DTS has so much more oomph. I've got dozens of movies with lossless/uncompressed audio and they are superior audio tracks to their lossy counterparts. Me being a cynic, I immediately think that Paramount have crippled the TrueHD track to justify their dropping of lossless for the time being, e.g. Transformers.
So strange. Still, Top Gun is a top flick, and it'll give your system a thorough workout. Shame about the lack of extras (in worrying Fox Blu-ray style) but when the movie is as cheese-tastic as Top Gun it doesn't really deserve anything. 'Academy Award Winner' indeed.
