i'd certainly agree about that they already have it on play.com
http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/3...3/Product.html

i'll be getting it even if it's just for 1 and 2 as 3 just seemed over-hyped and a let down.

That's not a bad price. I was shocked to see the US retail price for Spiderman 3 on it's own is $49.95 (USD).

I'd buy the boxset at £32.99. Question is, will the UK release work on a Region A PS3. I guess we'll have to wait and see on that...

15 days earlier here, seems to be the case.

Got my order in with Sendit for now as £32 seems a bargain, just hope it will work on US PS3!

MovieTyme are now taking pre-orders on Spidey 3, but at £21.99 it seems a tad expensive...

http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/pro...3d44efb98a2cf7

I think i'll be going with Sendit for the whole Trilogy.

As I was trying to point out before the retail price is about 5-10 USD more than most discs.

Does make the Send It box set seem a good price.

I couldn't care less for any "1.1" features. All this interactive stuff is a load of old crap if you ask me. I just want to watch the movie, end of story.

After seeing that MT price for just #3, I really hope the UK trilogy set is region free

Sony have been region free in the UK up until now haven't they? I am just thinking of Casino Royale and Ghost Rider

Re: Spiderman 3/ Trilogy boxset- confirmed

spiderman 3 without doubt the worse film I have seen this year, almost as bad as batman & robin (batman holiday on ice!) but not quite, probably on a par with men in black 2 in crappiness.

Well I also ordered earlier today from Send It in the hope it will work on a JAP PS3.

I haven't seen 3 yet, but at £33 it's work it for 1 and 2 alone.

The Sendit price is outstanding. Even if it disnae work on my US PS3, I can sell it for more than that on ebay or to an unsuspecting friend (none of whom are too savvy about buying online - bwuhahahahahaaaaa!!).

That is a good deal - preordered. Still haven't seen #3, but for this price it's worth the punt.

cant help thinking sony are dropping one here releasing this as a box set, the matrix should have been a lesson there that not everyone buys boxsets. I think paidgeek is looking at this to see what the region coding is, as soon as he posts i will post it here.

I'm not sure it matters too much.

We were interested in numbers for 'The Matrix' collection, but I think Warner were just worried about wonga.

They may have counted as one sale (for a boxed set containing 3 films) but they certainly didn't sell for the same number of dollars a single film.

Ultimately, they'll be available individually anyway, if you're prepared to wait.

your probably right pecker, but from a political point of view(which im sure sony will be having at least 1 eye on this with)they would want max disk numbers..

Re: Spiderman 3/ Trilogy boxset- confirmed

Is anyone else a bit suprised that films 1&2 have no extras on them at all?

I can live with no PCM, we are getting True HD after all, but no extras?

This just stinks of a double dip to me.

I might just pick up the third film and wait for the re release of 1& 2 down the line.

Indeed, but at only a tenner for the extra 2 now I think the set is worth it (as long as its region free )

Well I didn't watch the extra's on the SD DVD versions I have, so won't miss them on the HD version either.

I know we're all different, but 99% of the time all I want is the movie in it's best PQ and AQ. Couldn't generally give 2 hoots about extra's.

That's exactly how I feel. I watched the SD extras once and have absolutely no desire to sit through them again. Just give me the 3 flicks in gloroius HD and i'll be a happy camper.
