Universal HD DVD in October - Wave 1

Universal Studios Home Video have announced their first wave of US HD DVD catalogue titles for October 2007. Wave 1 is due on the 23rd and includes: Brian De Palma’s Carlito’s Way, the direct-to-disc sequel Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power, Spike Lee’s Inside Man and the latest in the Chucky franchise, Seed of Chucky.

Retail is $29.98 SRP each.

More info on the Carlitos Way releases over at HighDefDigest.

Good to see Universal adopting TrueHD soundtracks I think Denon's announcement of a 'transport only' platform has woken us all upto the benefits of the new codecs versus PCM.
