Universal back catalogue on HD DVD

As it appears that Universal are emptying their back-catalogue onto HD-DVD, I find it curious that Gladiator has not found it's way onto the format.

Surely this is the kind of film that would benefit from such treatment

I'm sure it would benefit - however Galdiator is a AAA title and as such will be held back until the format is slightly more mature. Studios rarely release there catalogue hits until a new format has been established - look how long we had to wait for Star Wars DVD!

This'll be a fave for me too as the DVD was pretty good to start with.
