That might not be likely as it's a buena vista release. Entertainment in Video own the rights here in the UK. Anyone know which format they have picked yet?

Just realised my error. Obviously they have chosen blu-ray here haven't they.

Entertainment In Video have had release dates posted for months but still haven't release Million Dollar Baby, Phantom Of The Opera, Brokeback Mountain, The Departed or Gangs Of New York. They all have been delayed so many times, so will have to wait and see

Well I have bitten the bullet and ordered it so I will let you know if it works on my US PS3 when I get it - otherwise it will be for sale!!

I saw all the EIV blu-ray cases today, and all have "Region B" written on the back of them. So doesn't look too promising for those with Region A players.

Some of them have DTS master tracks, others just plain old 5.1. All special features are in standard definition, and only the main feature seems to be subtitled in English.

I don't think i've ever received any item from Sendit in less than 7 days from their dispatch notification!

Can confirm EIV THe Crow BLuRay is Region B and will NOT play on Region A players, cause I bought it and tried it.

Saw a rumour over on the blu-ray.com forum that the EIV releases are also using the image constraint token so are not viewable via component. Some people have found that via component it's downconverting to SD.

Looks like EIV are being quite strict about region coding and so on.

got mine today just finished watching it the box states region b an important note for every one it doesn't state on the packing 1080p i can only think it plays at 1080i.
5.1 dts sound.

recieved my gangs of new york today region b on the back hav't opened it yet---did EIV have the rights to this it says miramax on the back can't see EIV any where on the case

on the back of this disc it does say FULL 1080

shall i risk it -i'm sure someone will buy it off here

Thanks Trev.

A lot of blu-ray disc boxes state that they only play one region when actually they play on others also. Doesn't sound like the case with EIV discs though.
