Leone coming up short?

I think many of us have wished for Leone's films in high def, and many have eseen the recently withdrawn news of this boxed-set arriving on Blu-ray Disc:

http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articl...2607c.html#ser

But can anyone tell me why it would contain the Dollars Trilogy & 'Duck...'/'A Fistful Of Dynamite', but not 'Once Upon A Time In The West' (arguable his best)?

Is there a rights issue?

Re: Leone coming up short?

Because they can sell something twice.

Or in my case I need a 3rd copy of those films

Re: Leone coming up short?

D'OH!

I really should research first.

MGM own the 4 films in the Leone Collection (BD-only).

Paramount own 'Once Upon A Time In The West' (dual-format).

Oh, and it appears 'OUATI America' is dual-format Warner.

My favourite is 'OUATITW', followed by 'TGTBATU' and then 'OUATIA'.

The first 2 dollars films come 'last', but that's the opposite of damning with faint praise.

These films were all made for high def!
