Ran HD DVD

What the hell is going on with the release of this title?

I can only find two places that list it (both showing it was released in March, although differing dates) :

HMV show it as having been released on 26-3-2007, 3-5 days estimated delivery time

Sendit show the release date as 5-3-2007, but state 'This item was recently deleted in the UK, but we may still be able to get stock of it. '

Does anyone have this?
Has it even been released?

Re: Ran HD DVD

Smashing!

I didn't know this was supposed to be coming out on HD DVD.

If I don't spot it, keep me posted.

Cheers.

Re: Ran HD DVD

This is probably one of the fifteen or so titles that Studio Canal delayed in order to implement the new AACS revisions (due to a vulnerability in a software HD DVD player being exploited a month or two back).
The UK release is the SC transfer and will therefore be similarly delayed.
Fnac and Amazon.fr are listing the delayed SC releases for pre-order on the 21st of May now.

Re: Ran HD DVD

Well the HD DVD has been released a few weeks back in Germany and France and it doesn't look too good

These versions don't have English subs but if we do get a UK release it looks like this is the version we'll get. Unfortunately Studio Canal don't seem to have done a very good job of it, amongst other things this transfer reportedly exhibits much edge enhancement Why on earth SC thought edge enhancement of a HD release would be a good idea is totally beyond me
