I decided to rent the UK version of The Departed which is marked as Region B on the disc and also on the http://bluray.liesinc.net/

I am pleased to report it actually works on my Jap PS3 which is Region A

There is DTS-HD audio as well as the DD5.1 sountrack on the disc if the OP wishes to update his table

It won't be,it's a Warner release and they've not produced a region coded blu ray yet.
