U571 (universal) for blu-ray ??

hi, looking on play.com they seem to have U571 up for pre-order ... i was unaware that universal had moved over to BD ... or is this just a play.com mistake ?

EIV released it on DVD over here (as far as i can remember), so they must be supporting Blu-Ray

U-571 has been announced for the US market by Universal, released August 26th.

Does anyone know what Universal's region code policy is / will be?

I can't find info at the usual sources.

Anyway, if it is region free this would be great news as the current European version is underwhelming I'm told and has a fault with the subtitles where the German text is only available if you choose to have English subtitles as well.

This was a superb DVD (which was one of my reference movies for sound) so I'm hoping Universal do it justice .... and that we can play it on UK machines.
