I remember first noticing that with a DVD of Twister back in 2000, couldn't get my head round the fact that it was see through but contained a whole film lol

Anyway Paramount tend to put printing on their US releases, I seem to remember that my copy of the BD was coloured blue with the DVD coloured silver or grey.

Guess in the US they like to make it even more obvious which disc is the blu-ray lol

For a film with Ghost in the title it's rather apt, really.

Mine finally arrived today.

How frequent are the IMAX scenes?

Are we talking dark knight or transformers 2??

No IMAX scenes on the BD mate. It's 2:35 (approx) all the way

Damn. Not sure why I thought there was then.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll still enjoy it.

Some of the movie was filmed with an IMAX camera is probably why you thought so.

Does anyone who has the Danish trilogy know if when there is a character speaking another language in the films do the English subs come up or is it Danish subs & you then have to manually engage English subs?

It's no different than other Paramount multi-language releases. Select English upon start up and away ya go. Discs even have BBFC logos on them.

What rebel_scum said, you choose English and it acts just how the UK disc would.

Thanks guys. I've never had a 'Euro' disc before. Wasn't sure how they worked regarding languages etc.

Cheers

Total opposite for me and the IMAX scenes in The Dark Knight on blu ray were absolutely stunning and made for stand out moments IMO ... did not detract from the film at all, far from, really made the home experience extra special ... and the picture quality of the IMAX scenes are incredible in The Dark Knight.

Same with Tron Legacy ... the imax scenes add to viewing enjoyment and just look incredible ... I think there will be a future MI4 release with the IMAX scenes included as it will be an ideal opportubity for the film makers to re-release the movie ... and make some more cash !

+1.
The IMAX scenes in TDK is just awesome and it's what I use to test AV equipment.

I agree the IMAX screens are fantastic. The disappointing thing is that ALL the film isn't like that.

And I prefer the open matte Tron Legacy

+2 love it!
Wished MI:4 was presented this way. But it still looks great. I'm sure I'll be buying it again when the inevitable double dip is released.

I wish they's kept Tron Legacy at 2.35:1, there's clearly too much dead space top and bottom, in the open-matte shots.
