Just to let you guys know, I have my sealed Batman Begins up for sale again on eBay. Auction only this time. I might still sell the rest of my slips. I just can't be bothered to list them all haha. I must have over a hundred.

Monday 28th May Releases

Just had six new blu-rays due out on Monday pushed through my door.

The only one of them with a slipcase is "Neverland" :-( It's full-length but not embossed or anything particularly special.

The titles with no slip cases are:
The Artist
Martha Marcy May Marlene
A Room With A View
A Beautiful Mind
Life Is Sweet
Chronicle (Extended Edition)

That sucks! At least play dot com has a nice steelbook for Chronicle...I think 'The Queen' (Helen Mirren) looks like its getting a decent slip.

I think they had to do something to try and encourage the "collectors" to double-dip on this purchase. Hard to see why anyone who liked the film wouldn't have already bought it, and the whole "jubilee" collector's edition excuse for a re-release seems a bit lame.

So fed up of this double-dip nonsense I'm not falling for it, I'm really not.

How nice did you say the slipcase was again? ;-)

I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a bluray just for the slipcover alone- especially if they already own it. But if they want to, it's a free country. I didn't own it previously, and for 10 quid it's well worth it- good film and sweet slipcover.

Agreed.

Quiet apart from the fact I thought it was a seriously over-hyped film in the first place. Not so much a film as a fairly average TV drama of the sort that normally gets shown on BBC4 that got switched to cinemas at the last minute based on the fact that Helen Mirren could do good box office.

Yes it's a HMV exclusive. The HMV version also comes with a booklet about the production as well, i don't know if the general release does though.

Coriloanus

Three of next week's releases have just been delivered by the postman (one is a steelbook so clearly no slipcase)

Goon doesn't have a slipcase
Coriolanus has a very nice full-length metallic slipcase.

Did you get the HMV 'exclusive' version of 'Coriolanus'? I was just wondering what is the difference between it and the regular version...

No. Often HMV Exclusive just means a different, shittier sleeve. Because there are no details at all on their web site (how do they expect to sell stuff??!?) other than the fact it costs and extra £2 I decided to go for the cheaper version.

Especially after the "Shame" fiasco where they cancelled the order saying it was no longer in stock, then delivered it and charged it anyway after I'd late ordered the ordinary version assuming it really had been cancelled as they'd told me. Now got to faff around with a cover letter and post it back to get a refund.

It's just easier these days to order the standard version unless they fully document what's "exclusive" about their release.

It's a cardboard inner with glued plastic disc holder as shown in top right of photo. That slides into a narrow cardboard slipbox

David Lynchs 'Eraserhead', 'Lost Highway', 'Dune' and 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me' also come with slips this week.
Here's another...

They usually show a slip on the Amazon pages if they get one. They do not show one so assume no. None of my Disney's have a slip so don't mind.

Looks like I might be be ordered several of the animated Disney's for the next BOGOF.

Not sure if these have been posted,

Anyways, the individual new Spider-man blus each come with an ugly new slip.

The Caine Mutiny comes with a white Sony classics slip,

A Monster in Paris has a slip as does W.E.

Did not see one for The Big miracle.
