Good suggestion ! As I recall, that is one of the great John Milius's most memorable pieces of writing, there are probably many scripts he has "doctored" which we haven't heard about. Enough to keep him in whiskey

Be quite a nice way for Spielberg's career to sort of come full circle - not a Jaws sequel as such but a film with perhaps his most memorable 'villains'.

It is indeed but I believe Jaws has had a brand new master struck and it was supervised by Spielberg so I am hoping for Saving Private Ryan/Minority Report results rather than a repeat of Jurassic Park.

Why? I always remember Hot Fuzz and the Bourne Trilogy as reference quality.

Universal haven't got a great record with older titles, Excessive use of DNR and Edge Enhancement being the major

Jurassic Park looked so-so on Blu, They should have invested in a new remaster instead of giving us the same one they used for the DVD back in 2001.

My hopes are high for Jaws though, SS has had some input into the process so I'm guessing it should look and sound amazing.

I believe their recent 100th anniversary releases have been very good.

Having an extra devoted purely to the restoration work done is filling me with confidence that it will look fantastic, been along time since a catalogue Universal release has been anything other than an old master slapped with DNR and EE.

This will be a definite import for me, should start shipping around the end of July

The wait is gonna kill me but it'll be worth it, Great to see it's received a proper restoration and they've spent a good deal of time on it, Be picking up the US edition on the 14th Aug, The UK steelbook and probably the standard UK version too

I've just ordered the US version from Amazon for now. Keeping my eyes peeled for the those sneaky Best Buy, Target and Walmart exclusives that the USA sometimes get.

HMV want £19.99 for the BD and £24.99 for the Steelbbok BD
