Question Star Trek Trilogy on blu-worth the upgrade?

Hi,
I already have the Star Trek Trilogy movies on sd DVD. Are the blu-ray version worth the upgrade?

I would say yes, I have all 10 on BD now and they are all improvments on the DVD's but Paramount went abit crazy with DNR on Treks 4-6 resulting in some waxy results but personally I still prefer them over the DVD's if only for the 7.1 audio.

Only seen the TWOK from my set, the quality over the DVD is Not really enogh of a buff to get in the whole DNR waxy look. But it looked damn good to me.

TWOK was the only film to have a restoration so it has little to no DNR and is probaley the best looking of the TOS films.

Its Trek 4 and 6 that are hit the worst.

Keep meaning to sit down and go through the others, I skipped on can't stand it and don't much like 3 either so is keeping me from getting to 4-6.

Re: Star Trek Trilogy on blu-worth the upgrade?

Hi guys, how about the Next Generation movie collection? Heard that they wasn't 'that' great quality-wise (except for the last one) and I already have them on SD but naturally want all 10 and the recent reboot in HD.
