Ster Trek - Original crew 1-6 box set

Does anyone have this set or any films from it?

I am thinking of buying it, but it's quite hefty at £72. I am a bit worried seeing as the movies are old, whether or not the PQ and SQ increase is worth the price.

What do you think?

Re: Ster Trek - Original crew 1-6 box set

I have this and are very happy with it.... Don't expect anything like a Transformers/Star trek XI in terms of audio and picture quality.
The wrath of Khan has Been remastered and looks very good for it's time, the others ard very similar with every few years that pass with each new film looking slightly better than the last. I buy and sell loads of films on these forums but will not sell these as I loved the films growing up as a kid, I'm sure you'll get this set cheaper than £72?
I hope hhis helps mate.
Regards

Owen

Thanks Owen

Think i'll have a good look round the internet.

Can I just ask, does the UK version have the star trek summit, an interview with the main stars hosted by Whoopi Goldberg?

Yes it does but be aware the UK release is missing some extra features compared to the US, nothing major but worth mentioning I thought.

Old? You are joking aren't you?

What will you make of the releases of Snow White , Wizard of Oz and North By Northwest?

I thought I use this thread as somone might have picked up the separate TNG box as well. Is the packaging thinpaks like the Kirk boxset?

Cant speak for the UK set but my US set is thinpacks with similar themed coverart.

Is there anything on the TNG covers to say they were remastered? The reason is that the TNG films are being released on their own in March in the UK with remastered in the title. I suspect they will be the same versions.

Each of the TNG films in my set state 'digitally remastered' on the covers.

Thanks. So just another pointless comment on the Amazon site then.

The TNG set it also down to £39.98 too.

Amazon.co.uk: Customer Reviews: Star Trek - The Next Generation Movie Collection [Blu-ray] [1994]

I gave in and ordered the TNG set. Films down to £9.50 with 5% Lovefilm discount.

Still not sure about the original Kirk movies. If Amazon was down to £60 perhaps I would be tempted more.
