Usual things to check - is the software up to date? If its a profile 2.0 player, try putting an SD card in the slot.

Spun my US Region Free copy on my UK BD35 and it loaded fine. SD card installed and connected to the internet. Also loads on my US S350 which again has a memory stick and is internet connected.

Having suffered this at the cinema I'd say your player is doing you a favour.

Re: Bruno, load issues on bd35.

Sounds like the "Crank 2" situation

Only got that to play by bunging in an SD card and updating the firmware

Re: Bruno, load issues on bd35.

My son has had problems playing this on DVD !

KEPT STALLING IN BETWEEEN CHAPTERS ETC SO I HAD STUCK it IN THE COMPUTER TO HAVE A LOOK AT IT AND THE STRUCTURE BEING USED IS A RIGHT OLD MESS. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT (bleedin caps!) in their quest for copy protection they have used a new style of movie structure which is even confusing some dvd players.

Obviously dont know if this is the same with the bluray disc but there are def problems with some of the DVd discs given 10 mins of research on the net.

Re: Bruno, load issues on bd35.

I Have a Samsung BDP 1500, and have also encountered problems with this disc (UK Version).
Firstly it wouldn't load and I just ended up with a blank screen after the copyright warning & Disclaimer. I had to stop the disc, then restart it.

Then, it seemed to freeze every few minutes for a second or so after about 15 mins into the film.

I paused the disc after about 25 minutes or so to make a sandwich, and when I then pressed play, the disc counter showed that the disc had restarted, but the Universal screensaver stayed on the screen. Had to stop the disc, re-start, and fast forward through the film.

After 46 minutes the film froze altogether, and the only way to move on was again to stop & restart the disc.

This is the second time I've had problems with a Universal disc on this player - The other was the Extra's Christmas specials disc, which I only managed to watch after the player went in to a Samsung service Centre. That disc wouldn't play giving the same blank screen after the copyright warnings.......

Funny how the trailers seem to load and play fine every time the Bruno disc is loaded!........

Pete.

Watching it now, and it's playing fine. Takes ages to load though
