Naked Gun

What infantile humour

I watched it with my 15 year old son, he laughed like a drain all the way through it, he thought it was hysterical. Before long I did too...

Thank you son I have regained my sense of humour

Re: Naked Gun

I loved these films when I was younger. I have the NK films on DVD and haven't bothered to watch them yet (along with the TV series). I think I might have outgrown them as I just don't find them that funny anymore. I still like Airplane and Top Secret though.

As did I. watching it with my son though...

The child within?

He's 15, he's just a child, but there is a young man in there and he will most likely fly higher than I ever did.

Re: Naked Gun

same for me nw. watching it with my son just opened a huge new bonding session I wasn't looking for. When you get a chance to bond with a 15 year you take it

Dad and Son moment... Priceless, £45million quid keep it...

Police Chief: "congratulations to Lt. Drebin who just killed his 1000th drug dealer!"

Drebin Stands up to the mic. "in all honesty, i accidentally backed over the last one with my car, it just turned out he was a drug dealer"...

i LOVE the Naked Gun movies (and i'm 33!), they are so much better than the dumb spoofs that come out these days which i dont even bother with...

What's not to like about Leslie Neilson in his day?
Classic comedy, if you can't laugh, you don't laugh very often.

I'll vote for Porky's, there are scenes in that film that will leave you in tears.

The guy trying to stifle his laughter under the exercise mat for example.

Naked Gun is the funniest film of the 80's (Apart from Weird Science of course)

Here's a classic scene.

Naked Gun is great, some of the people that made them also made the recent Super Hero Movie which is funny, uses similar gags and also has a cameo by Neilsen, I suggest everyone watches it!

+1. Mrs Sonic and I saw this on cable in America. The 'sleeping aunt on the sofa' had Mrs Sonic in hysterics. If you like Naked Gun you have to watch this film.

Re: Naked Gun

The Zucker brothers are some damn fine talent, only to have been replicated via Wayans brothers.
If you like stupid humor, I'm gonna Git you suckka.
Jesus that's funny.
Back to Naked gun, the TV series is funny as hell, it was way ahead of its time, and Leslie Neilson, playing his character straight is just too damn funny.
Check him out in the Poseiden Adventure, the Captain, he doesn't last too long, or Forbidden Planet, Captain again, brilliant.
He truly is a show case of an actor, comedy being his forte though.
He does need good material, I have seen him on one of our local now defunct TV shows, Hey Hey its Saturday, and the crowd were in tears, he was just being intereviewed, and every time he spoke, he would make a fart sound with a litlle farting device in his hand, being serious and all, ignoring the sounds, he was just at his all time classic..
He was too serious, and every one could not take him serious..
TOO DAMN FUNNY..

Files from Police Squad, if you have not seen the TV show, get it, its available from Amazon US, also, like some one mentioned before, Kentucky Fried Movie, they do a 20 min version of, Enter The Dragon, and its damn funny, and very, very well done..

Re: Naked Gun

nielsens timing and comedic presence put some so called modern day comedians to shame. we'r all movie buffs but isnt it great when u can just switch ur brain off and coast thru a film like naked gun without havin to think about it.
and airplane really is a work of genius

"we need to land this plane and get these people to a hospital"
"why? what is it??"
"its a big building with doctors and nurses, but thats not important right now"
