Where to get 1080p/24 files?

Hi,

I am trying to troubleshoot a problem with my blu-ray player and TV. What I want to do is to play some 1080p/24 material from a USB stick to see if the problem (which is evident when playing 1080p/24 BDs) persists.

Is this possible (I think I need MKV-format material) and if so where can I get such a file? I've seen some on (cough) download sites but I'd prefer something legitimate if possible. It would need to be at least 10 minutes long.

TIA,
H.

Microsoft HD showcase ,

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...tshowcase.aspx

All free and all legal.

MKV format are hardly ever legal ..... Ive yet to see one anyway ... ! But you can always re-encode these if you want.

Re: Where to get 1080p/24 files?

Quicktime 1080p HD trailers are 24hz and can be converted to AVCHD Blu Ray files using ripbot. The files can then burned in blu ray structure on a DVD.

MKV is just a container so it not necessary illegal. It is no different to having a WMV, FLV or a AVI file.

Or just take one of your BluRay discs and rip it?
