Romeros' dead trilogy dvd's

hi guys im looking to buy george a romero's night of the living dead (60's version)
dawn of the dead (80's)
and day of the dead.

you can get them in a trilogy set on amazon and play etc for under a tenner, i was just wondering if anyone knows if they are decent transfers picture and sound wise? i dont really want to fork out extra for the box of the dead as i have the newer two films. anyone know?

Re: Romeros' dead trilogy dvd's

R1s are the ones to go for.

NOTLD - R1 Millenium edition silver cover

Dawn - R1 Ultimate edition 4 DISC

Day - R1 Yellow cover.

These are the versions I have seen with the best picture qualities and extras. I usesd to have the trilogy R2 set (original release) and NOTLD was the inferior 30th anniversary addition. Dawn of the Dead audio quality was out of sync to me and Day was just Day.

Exclamation Re: Romeros' dead trilogy dvd's

Hi,

Sick-Boy's correct on this. There hasn't been a really great release of all three of the original Romero "Dead" series. Your best bet is to buy them individually, but check on each film's best releases from around the world, via a website like Rewind (DVDCompare.net), for the information.

And, yes, DAWN... was made in 1979, not the 80's, but we all knew what you meant.

Yes that version of NOTLD is just the worst, what were they thinking with that additional footage?
