When they ship, do they declare the cost of the item or the cost plus shipping on the package? I'm ordering something close to the £18 threshold and the postage will tip it over the top. I don't want a flipping 'handling charge' (what a joke that is given their current performance) on top!

No problem. I too was thinking of ordering Lady Vengeance for the colour version and I still may. But my Tartan UK one has already been shipped along with Mr Vegeance. Can't wait for them.

The fading version is Chan Wook Park's prefered version I believe.

Nope, not as cut and dry as that. He talks about it in one of the docs on the DVD.

Not sure which interview it was, but the gist is that it was an experiment that was abandoned before they started shooting, and the DVD release was just a way of completing that experiment to see what the film might have looked like had they done it. The film wasn't photographed with that process in mid, which is why the fading version looks so murky (especially towards the first half of the screen).

Park originally intended for Mr. Vengeance to fade, but abandoned that as well. I read another article where he apparently said that the only reason he did it with Lady V was so that someone else didn't do it before him. Again, all of this from memory so it's not verbatim.

Well, they've shipped my LV BD, but I've no confidence in the Royal Mail to deliver it... Nice to see they mark as a gift though.

Old thread I know but did you get charged customs?

I have just ordered 2 films and thought that ordering seperatly and paying the little extra for shipping would be a better option than having to pay the extra £8 RM would charge!
