Do Amazon usually ship pre-ordered Blu-rays 6 days before their release date

I pre-ordered 'Monsters vs Aliens' the other day and the release date for it is not untill the 26th, but i got an email to say it was despatched today?

It wouldnt usually bother me, in fact i'd usually be happy, but am slightly worried because i only preordered from Amazon because it said the estimated despatch date was the 24th, and i would have had the money to pay for it in my bank on the 22nd.

I dont think i have the required funds in my bank but am sure i've had this problem before and my bank stopped Amazon from taking the funds, but they havent this time ?

Anyone had any similar problems?

If I where you I would be asking your account provider this question. I.e ask them if a payment has left or is pending for the particular amount.

If the disc is coming through Indigo Starfish, they quite often send discs before the the release date. I have received the discs the Saturday before the Monday they come out.
