Slipcovers... why are they sometimes forgotten?

Ok... it dosent bother me 'that' much, but if theirs suppose to be a slipcase included with the Blu-ray, then why are they sometimes missing

Lately i've ordered a few from Amazon such as "Taken", "Australia" and "Bedtime Stories" which (according to user-posted images, come with their own slipcases).
Yet none of mine did.

And also recently i got "Pinocchio" from TheHut which once again did not come with a slipcase even though most user-posted images of it that i've seen come with one .

I just wondered if anyone else here had the same problems sometimes?
Like i say, it dosent really bother me that much.. but i like to think that if somethings ment to be included with an item i buy.. i get it.

I also dont really understand how they 'forget' to include them .

A second question - Does anyone here have "Sleeping Beauty" on Blu-ray? If so could they please confirm whether that it's suppose to have a slipcover, as i have that on order from Amazon and it will be arriving soon

I'm not sure if they "forget." I think it's more that they're usually limited to first (or a few) print runs, then you don't get it. Disney do it quite a lot.

All my Disney Classics (Pinnochio, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White) all have slipcovers on Blu-Ray. The Sleeping Beauty one is more of a box.

I am a bit miffed that they didn't bother with one for Wall-E considering all the other Pixar's have one.

I have to have all my slipcases together or they don't look right and I can't do that with Wall-E. I suppose I should really just chuck the slip cases out.

Yep, it's all to do with initial print runs. I must say I am getting less bothered about slipcases where before if they were available I had to have one. They are pretty sexy though if you keep them in mint condition. If I get a second hand dvd/blu and it's scuffed, dog eared or ripped I will just bin it.
