Adding DRM / Protection to streaming media

Hi,

Im not sure if this is the right area of the forum or if this forum even covers questions such as mine, but here goes.

I am a student and I am looking to stream and allow downloading of a short film in a password protected area of a website. However I want to be able to add some form of protection to the video content so that the file, if downloaded has a lifespan and cannot be moved to another machine. Similar to the DRM Apple places on the video you download from the iTunes store.

Ive searched high and low but just cant seem to find a simple answer to my question. Is it possible? If so in what format will the video need to be streamed in, i.e. flv, m4v, mov, wmv etc... Is there a service out there that will host and stream the video for me that I could embed in my page?

I really appreciate anyone and everyones time, help and advice and all suggestions are much appreciated?

Thanks in advance
Thom
