Tesco vs. LoveFilm

As I understand, they're the same people behind the scenes, with the same selection of Blu-rays to choose from. As such, is there any reason why someone would pay the extra £1 a month for the non-Tesco-branded version? I can't find anything on the site, but then it's hardly the most informative.

Re: Tesco vs. LoveFilm

Can't comment on Lovefilm but I can say that my Tesco service has been great. If I post a disc back on a Monday I can count on getting a new one on a Wednesday. No problems at all.

I also use Tesco and have for a number of years and can not fault them. I believe Love Film offer something that Tesco do not, which is streaming of some films.

Re: Tesco vs. LoveFilm

Thanks, both. Streaming doesn't really interest me, unless like Netflix in the US they start integrating it with the 360.

Re: Tesco vs. LoveFilm

the layout and ease of use (from my own opinion i stress) ilovefilm is the better of the two. But competition can only be a good thing, maybe if enough people comment to ilovefilm that tesco are doing the same service for slightly cheaper they will drop the price slightly.

who knows.

Re: Tesco vs. LoveFilm

I've just come to the end of one month free trial of unlimited 2 disc package with LoveFilm and wanted to cancel. Phoned them, they asked why cancelling, I said Tesco's were cheaper and also offered clubpoints. They then offered two months for one plus 'Watch Online' for unlimited time - worth going for!
