What would you do if you got a bent slip case on a brand new blu ray

As title

Got a brand new blu from play usa and I feel very disappointed that the slip case is bent then I have to wait another 5 days for replacement if I send it back.

I pre-ordered the title it defies the object of a pre order if you then have to return it and wait lounger.

If it's just the plastic case then you could always buy a spare one. If it's a cardboard slip case then you either accept it or change it as kj23 suggests.

Presumably it got damaged in the post? I'm not sure what your comment about pre-ordering is about. Damage in transit is just a risk of mail order.

for an easy life i'd probably keep it, i've done so before. if i was that bothered i'd send it back. it could happen again of course.

If it's bad or was for a gift I'd send it back. Alternatively chuck the slip case if the plastic case is ok. 99.99% of the time all you're going to see is the spine while it's on the shelf anyway. Ultimately you buy it for the movie not the box. Unless of course it's limited edition individually numbered packaging... Only you can make the call about what you're happy with.

As you know, us collectors are very anal when it comes to packaging, personally, it it's as bad as you state, i'd send it back.

Just got off the phone with play. There offer was send it back and they will swap the item or a £1.80 refund. I am taking the send it back option whats £1.80 these days. Could not believe they tried that one. I'm now starting to rethink my pre-order list with them. Dont want more damaged items. Bad customer service the woman didnt even say Goodbye when she put the phone down.

Since I invariably discard all extraneous packaging anyway, I'd watch the movie and forget it. Only reason to be otherwise concerned is if you consider the cardboard to be "collectable" and at some point intend to sell it as such. It probably won't be, though.

Play offered me my postage costs of £2.37 and re-ordered straight away even though there damaged one is still in transit. They asked for a tracking number though. Cant say no fairer then that I suppose. At least they are sorting it for me. I did seriously consider keeping it and I thank everyone for the comments that I got. But I knew it would bother me. I looked at the case and couldn't bare looking at it lol. Sorted I guess just got to wait 3-5 days for the next one hopefully that wont turn out the same way. Just a pain as I did want to watch it tonight. Did see it twice at the cinema like. I did try to complain about there quality control checks as well.

I do like slip cases but if one was damaged, I would just throw the it away.

Blame doesn't come into it, rather your favourite movie cannot be in rag order.

Play asked me to open the packaging because they offered me a partial refund if the discs where ok. Any way one of the discs is not ok. and the cover is in a rite state as well. This is going back tomorrow. Play have to come up with something pretty good now otherwise they lost a customer for life after this carry on. I am even considering cancelling my order for windows 7. This has really got to me.

Not my fault the case was in poor condition. Then on then second one the case was bad and there was problems with the discs.
