Play & Zavvi - Lost In Post Default Answer?

Play & Zavvi - Lost In Post Default Answer?

I'm ever so slightly annoyed because I returned 2 BluRays recently, one to play.com the other to Zavvi.

I'd completely forgotten about the last time I tried to return something to Play when they denied ever receiving the goods....

So this time what happens, surprise, surprise both of these retailers have told me they haven't received the discs.

I'm in Guernsey and so is Zavvi's fufillment centre!, it was a local post.

Amazing that I send BluRays to the UK every week, week in week out and have never had a disc go missing..and yet send to these guys......and they go missing EVERY time.

I'm starting to think they must do this as defualt hoping you haven't sent them recorded (which you shouldn't have to) so they can put them back into stock.

Lesson learned: Don't send stuff back to these guys, say it never turned up and get them to send a replacement.

Play always asks me to return by recorded delivery. Isn't it possible to check for a signature?

Play isn't as good as they were so I am now more recluntant to use them. They even sent the wrong item once and still expected me to pay for returning it (which cost me more than what they refunded).

I assume you got a Certificate Of Postage when you sent these items, just claim back the value of the item(s) from the RM

I've had a good CS experience with Play recently, I ordered an item that came with a second item free, you actually had to add the second item to the basket at order time (which I forgot to to) I mailed them and they are going to send me the second item anyway

Last time I had an issue with an item from play, I sent it back recorded and they refunded me the cost of postage. No hassle, all done over the phone. So no real issues here.
