Hi,

Second Sight's Steekbook of RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD was a great release, so I have high hopes for their BASKET CASE TRILOGY set. However, the second and third films are decidedly average. There's some fun gore and violence, but the lack of originality hampers them severely, in my view.

The set may still be worth a purchase though, if the extras prove to be nice and in-depth. There was over five hours-worth of bonux material in the RETURN... Steelbook, so I'd want at least a couple of hours-worth in the BASKET CASE set, alongside the two sequel films, before I purchase it. (I already own the US Something Weird 20th Anniversary Special Edition DVD anyway.)

And, the price would need to come down. £30 even for three films, is still a little on the pricey side for me. I'd much prefer a more acceptable price of £19-99 for this set - as it does contain three films, and I can't see there being hours'-worth of extras.
