It was originally 20.99 but they took down the preorder and when it reappeared, the price had risen. It's a while off yet anyway so we might see an announcement in the next couple of months. I'm sure that this will get a worldwide release as the other Marvel films have had recently. Such a shame that it's Disney and not Paramount releasing it. We can only hope that Disney have taken a few tips from Paramount in regard to steelbook design in the UK

Way too early for a UK version to be announced, be safe in the knowledge that there will be one though and it will be the same as every other country's

Cool

I want one without the Assembled title on it, I was looking at the DE one but have to be a lot cheaper as the postage is well steep, I could get it sent half way round the world cheaper than a few miles across the channel.

I'd love for a uk release, wish they would do an Iron man 1&2 speacial steelbooks to go along with it. Love the marvel stuff. I also think it was ridiculous changing the name, for the uk.

Its a given there will be a steelbook for the UK, HMV most likely.

They should release 8 different versions.

One with the whole team and the rest with each Avenger/Shield on it. That would be awesome.

If they release a UK one then ill get it but I'm. Probably going to order the amaray from Canada so I can get it with Avengers and a friend will post it for me and that should make the import limit a bit more avoidable.

Why would you want the 3d version anyway? It was dreadful! God knows why they didn't bother actually filming it in 3d to start with as it would of been excellent.

Eh? Is that not the title of the film?

As an aside - best superhero film I've seen in a long time. Proper laugh out loud moments and great action you could actually follow on screen (unlike some other modern films - I'm looking at you Mr. Bay!). The 3d was pants and made my head hurt (would have gone to a 2D screening but there wasn't one at a suitable time for us).

Only in the UK. I would've thought that the Blu-ray release would have the same name as the theatrical release. Don't see why they would change it for one but not the other.

Agree with you there on the 3D front and lack of it. 1st 3D film I've seen and was left with a sense of being hard done by. The fast panning scenes were a bit blurry for me also.

Cracking film though. The Hulk was awesome!

It kept making me take the glasses of and rub my eyes, there was a screw up with the web site and the next 2D was 6 hours later so went to the 3D

flaming awful I hated 3d before that only reinforced my opinion. Why 3d being shoved down our necks.

All the marvel film (capt, thor etc) have been rubbish 3D, I assume converts. Studios are killing 3D releasing these films in this format, plenty of customers will think that is as good as it gets. All the disney 3D films have been great, will they do a better job now they own the marvel franchise - do they own the catalog titles too (iron man hulk etc)?

Anyway I'm waiting for an avengers boxset (2D!) with them all in.

looks like all the other sequels will be released before avengers 2..like iron man 3, CA2, thor 2 possibly another hulk..would have made sense to film avengers one and 2 back to back...even if there was a delay in the release..must have been tricky getting all the actors together for it...

for the first time in a long time, it looks like a promising summer for movies for me...prometheus, dark knight rises, amazing spiderman...

i used to love going the cinema but most of what is shown is just tosh these days...however i will go and see all of the above...

sorry off topic..but there you go

£30 for a steelbook is a bit suspect too although I wouldn't be surprised with HMV's current pricing on steelbooks.
