if i were you id get your orders in quick - its 60 quid for all 6 - and you know how quickly play steelbooks sell out.

a lot of people buy them up for resale on ebay (people who annoy me to be honest) and it just a tenner each, they wont have a problem shelling out 600 quid for 10 of each steelbook and cause them to shoot up in value.

also id say a lot of people who dont collect steelbook will buy the odd one, kick-ass will sell for sure.

my only issue now is do i sel my blurays of hulk, incredible hulk, hellboy 2 and casino - or just keep these sealed?

also im not sure which kick-ass steelbook id like to display more. decisions, decisions

I just picked up both amaray Hulks for a fiver each about 2-3 weeks ago as didnt think these or the price would be up to much. Hmmmm decisions decisions. The Kick Ass is smart but i already have the original UK version steelbook. To be fair they are all smart, if i win the lotto tomorrow night they all shall be mine

I'll be picking Kick-Ass up hopefully. The plan is to sell my original UK release for around £20 and buy this one for £10

I'm not a steelbook collector but I do like them provided it is a good film/artwork/price and also something I don't already have on BD. Have pre-ordered Hellboy 2 and American Werewolf and may be interested in Pitch Black when the artwork is available. I might even have a change of policy and replace my Children of men amaray if the artwork is right.

Is this the thin edge of the wedge?

I pre-ordered minimum 3 copies for 3 reasons:

1. Possibility of Running Out of Stock

2. Possibility of Getting Damaged in Post

3. Group Buy

The ones that are without artwork will be released as part of a second wave later in the year, I've seen some early provisional artwork for The Thing and I'm very happy! :-)

My poor bank account! I wonder how Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead will compare to the Canadian steelbook releases?

Children Of Men: Universal 100th Anniversary Edition - This is easily my biggest want in the Wave. Hope it's done properly.

I know its unbelievable! I cant believe people don't check online entertainment retailers first before resorting to eBay. You see all sorts of silly prices on eBay and bidding wars for things you can get cheaper in store or on other online entertainment retailers. I'm surprised they have only been marked up £6, maybe testing the waters see how popular they are.

by the time the fees are taken out, and the cost to send the item..the small profit margin on those steelbooks just wouldn't be worth it anyway!

It's not that unbelievable. Sure someone from the UK would be stupid to pay that much, but it might seem like a good deal for someone from the USA or Canada.

Got the original Kick-Ass steelbook, but I have also ordered this new one as I like the artwork and the price is cheap. Also ordered both Hulk films.

Just waiting on the Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the dead steelbooks now.

That's crazy - as these are catalogue releases there should plenty enough to go around.

Even if it's a play.com exclusive? I don't think you are aware of previous steelbook releases which have sold out on pre-order alone.

Whats the deal with Play.com..??? I ordered a video game from them months ago and was sent the wrong item and I've been reading on here for months about people receiving damaged steelbooks from them. I thought I'd take a chance with them on the recent sale for 15 quid bluray tin of 'The Pacific'...received it this morning in a flimsy envelope with dents in 3 corners!! I really want the 'American Werewolf In London' steel and 'In Time' steel exclusives but after this experience are they best avoided? What about returns?
