Well I don't really care how they send them to be honest, as long as it arrives mint. I don't know if damage is down to the post or just irresponsible employees who pack them without care.

Mine was in cardboard (3rd world spec) mailer but arrived undamaged. My Amazon.de order came at the same time and the packaging dwarfed the play.com effort.

Still at least Play are helping to save the enviroment with less packaging.

I got my Rise steelbook today from Play.com. Looks fine to me although not as nice as the Captain America one as the cover is flat and the inside is plain with no picture. I like that it has all the info and stuff on the back though as it saves on keeping the bits of card that usually come instead.

As did mine. I can't remember the last time I received anything from Play.com in a jiffy bag. I know they did use them but I stopped getting them years ago.

Received mine in a jiffy bag. It was a bit bent out of shape, but I've managed to bend it back. Decided I can live with it as I'd rather not have the hassle of sending it back.

Not received mine yet. But if Play are now using Jiffy for sending SB's then I think I'll stop using them. Since being taken over their service has nose dived anyway.

The Jiffy is much better than the wafer thin cardboard.

Received mine today.

Horrified to see it in a jiffy padded envelope.

I was dreading opening it, but luckily it has arrived without any damage.

Not looking forward to receiving anymore exclusives from Play

Mine was a jiffy, no damage. Its ok, but is ok acceptable at £17.99? or is the old saying something is only worth what your willing to pay applicable?

Mine was also in a jiffy and fortunately also not damaged.
I may be in the minority as this is my first steelbook but I think it looks pretty cool, even the French one has good and bad bits so it seems no definitive version either way.

Also, lots of reports of scratched copies from Play so I am wondering did they all come in a cellophane wrapper or not?

Not sure why people love the French one over this one. This is fine. Nothing too special, but its better than the regular edition and is in English

I have no doubt Play will have this in stock again within the next week or so and sell out again.

I think it's quite a nice looking steely.

Other than the age ratings (and the title, obviously), it's completely clean of any other text.

I'm presuming when Play do get additional stock, they will be returns, rather than their next assignment from the distributor?

I wish it didn't have the printed logos as the front would be absolutely brilliant otherwise.

mine arrived in a play.com branded white jiffy bag.
there was a hole in the outer - about size of a 5p coin - so i feared the worse.
but as far as i can tell it has survived undamaged...
