"Bourne goes epic" is very misleading to those who don't realise this isn't a Bourne film.

I think anyone daft enough to think this is a Bourne movie deserves to be disappointed

Having studied the front and back of this steel, I have determined that my favourite part of it is actually... the spine.

The text vomit on the front it is too OTT and ruins what otherwise could have been better artwork than the regular amaray case. The back is a little crammed too. I prefer steels that lack all that and go with the unique, minimal/simple approach like District 9, Knowing and 2012.

I've still yet to see it. Might be giving it a spin tonight. Eager to see how this stacks against the other crop of modern war themed films.

I reckon being posted to today (and going by past delivery times) they'll be here Wednesday/Thursday
The Hut managed to keep their 100% record up with the dented steelbooks when it arrived this morning..... looks like it'll be going back tomorrow (as happened with Wolfman) so that they can issue a replacement

Tbh, that might be the problem - there have just be too many of these films over the last few years.

Don't get me wrong, Green Zone is nothing like a bad film, and I'm sure many people will enjoy it, I just found it a bit

Got mine in the post this morning from Play (no dings or dents) and will fire it up tonight.

With regards to the "Bourne Goes Epic" quote, to be fair this was said by Empire magazine and Universal would've been mad not to use that quote to help sell this film to those people who have seen the Bourne films but maybe hadn't heard about this one.

Had the Bourne movies never been made, perhaps a lot more people would've enjoyed it.

+1.

Got the steelboook which looks pretty nice except for the lack of inner cover art.

Thought the movie was a bit dull.

Though it was very good, very action packed, decent chases, sounded awesome. This is a keeper for me

Got round to watching this on saturday night and I'm glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed this - far better imo to The Hurt Locker (but I bet this doesn't get as many Oscar nominations) I thought Matt damon was better than Jeremy Rinner in THH

The action sequences were good without being OTT and the story was gripping (with THH I found myself looking at the time all of the time)

So for me

Film - 8/10
PQ - 8/10
AQ - 9/10

Glad I took the decision to buy this as a steelbook as well.

Watched this on Saturday, thought it was a good film but also thought was strange when the graininess disappeared and reappeared on the same scene.

All in all glad I brought this steelbook

I noticed that too. There was another part in the movie where half the screen was grain infested and the other half wasn't. What the ****? I can't remember the exact point in the film (even though I only watched it last night ), but I remember only Damon and Gleeson were in the shot talking some ******** about WMD.

Yes, I posted about the grain vanishing in the main film thread.

Did anybody also notice loads of horizontal lines during some of the heavy grain scenes?

Looked like bits of Public Enemies.

That really is a pain - sure we spend £18 on a premium title and we can't get even basic artwork

Couldn't believe that either and was quite disappointing that someone allowed this to happen.

If the Aussie one is the JBhifi exclisive then personally i would go for that over the UK one, the back look superb and it has none of the aweful Empire text on the front

The soon to be released german version also seem to be missing the empire text, so depending on cost might be a good compromise.
