bdp-s350 auto start up hdmi

I have my Sony BDP-S350 connected to a PANASONIC 42PX80 on HDMI 2. When I switch on the player it does not automatically come on the tv screen, I have to manually change the channel to HDMI 2. Is this normal?

Re: bdp-s350 auto start up hdmi

Does your panel support HDMI CEC? if so you might be lucky & the Sony & Panasonic CEC Control will talk to each other (You will need to set it up in each menu of player & TV) if it does not Have CEC or is not compatable then you will need to manually switch

Not familiar with the S350 menu so you may just need to turn on CEC or HDMI control depending upon what it's called on the Sony.
