Thanks: Gave 303, Got 294 | AV Forums' From Dusk Till Dawn Review
Seeing as we no longer seem to be able to post direct links to reviews anymore, I'm putting this here.
I'd like to know what Blu-ray Andy Mogford was watching: From Dusk Till Dawn Blu-ray review at AVForums.com
Certainly not the disc that I and many others own.
*Disclaimer*
No offence intended, we all know how sensitive some people are around here...

1) Couldn't this have gone on the review thread.
2) I think he was watching the Canadian import version, that's what the review said anyway
3) It's his opinion,it may not be yours. When I find other reviews to compare it to, I may get it or rent it to see for myself.

2. Don't be smart, I know it's the Canadian version. I raise your with two and a
3. I understand perfectly that it's his opinion. It's just that it veers off extremely from my own on others experiences of this disc.
I'd like more people that actually own the disc,(which you don't), to compare the review with their own experiences. I'm not trying to extract the urine here, I'm just left scratching my head at that review, I've even agreed with the picky DVDActive and their review on this, an extremely rare thing: http://www.dvdactive.com/reviews/dvd...till-dawn.html
I personally think that it looks great, having suffered crap VHS, Laserdisc and numerous DVD releases of this movie over the years. I do partially agree with Andrew on the audio front, though.
Thanks.

It might not be the best looking BD in the world, but it's much better than any other version of the film I've seen. It annihilates the UK PAL DVD, not just in detail, but colour accuracy and the condition of the print. The audio is a tad unbalanced, but not to the point where you can't hear anything (I never found the dialogue difficult to hear). It does have a lot of bass though - perhaps too much - but I only really found it distracting in a couple of scenes. It's not for me to tell the reviewer what to think, but I don't agree with the review.

Totally agree, The PQ is excellent. Far superior to any other incarnation on home video to date and everything you would expect a BD to be.

Sorry, forgot the . I have looked into getting this and it does seem a very harsh review compared to others that are around. Think I'll stick it on my Lovefilm list and have a look before I buy.

Very surprised to read that review as I've only heard good things about the canadian import.
Got this myself but haven't got round to watching it yet.
Hopefully you guys are right and the review is a bit harsh.

I thought the BR was great
Yes in a couple of places it does go "grainy"( ), but to slate the WHOLE film because of this is wrong IMO.
Oh and i dont agree with that review..............laters |
