Yessssss! Hard Rain! I love that flick.

I love the Running Man too, but in a late-night-on-ITV4 kinda way. Unless it looks stunning, I'll stick with the SE DVD.

Not a bad list

Running Man is classic Arnie and Hard Rain is rather good, imported the Jap dvd just for the DTS many moons ago.

Wasn't cheap either.

I'll give the phantom a miss but the other three will find their way onto my shelves.

Aye, The Running Man is a must-have for the old Arnold collection. We've also got Last Action Hero to look forward to in the new year.

I'm guessing Lionsgate means region locked though. Only want The Running Man.

is Hard Rain about a security van heist? If Ive got the right film I really like it, although I havent seen it for agessssssss (Morgan Freeman too if I remember correctly and he is usally very watchable)

I love The Running Man too - brilliant film (although the other two are forgettable imo)

Unfortunately it looks like the relevant studio has done a hack job on the 'Drop Zone' Blu-ray release.

Blu-ray Review: Drop Zone | High-Def Digest

I confess to enjoying this film and previously owned on Laserdisc and DVD. Will give the Blu-ray a miss

Very disappointed to find out that The Running Man is locked, particularly after Red Heat and the previous batch of Lionsgate titles were Region Free.

Mine did, too. Fantastic value at £9.99 from Playusa.com.
It has 7.1 DTS-HD master audio as well although it is locked to region A only.
Will certainly trump my region 2 dvd with dolby 2.0 stereo!!

My joy has turned to sadness. I wasn't expecting Hard Rain to look or sound special - it doesn't in either respect - but it's got some real problems with the colour from about 50 minutes onwards. The colour saturation of anything above a certain level of brightness gets blown out into a horrible greeny yellow; if some smoke drifts across someone's face, they look all jaundiced until the smoke passes. I know it's an ultra-cheap catalogue release, but I'm very disappointed.

Thankfully I've still got the original R2 DVD with 5.1 audio.
