Talking Hannibal Lecter films on Blu?

I've just ordered Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon and Hannibal Blu Ray discs from Play as an impulse buy, are they decent transfers? I have them on DVD too and am hoping I've not wasted my money.

Not really looking for comments on the films themselves, more the picture and sound quality and any extra's?

Cheers.

Hannibal and Red Dragon both look great- Silence Of The Lambs looks soft, murky and dark looking- typical crappy MGM mpeg-2 transfer- but still better looking than any of its numerous releases on DVD.
Not sure of the extras- I think Hannibal is missing some from the DVD- dvd therapy dot com has a review of it.
Have you ever seen Michael Manns 'Manhunter'? Its really excellent if you are a fan of this series!! A must see.

Its available in the U.S in a boxset called 'The Hannibal Lecter Anthology' with Hannibal and Silence Of The Lambs- Red Dragon is not included which may disappoint some- personally I think Manhunter is far better. I think this boxset is 'region-free' but don't quote me on that!...movietyme has it for 40 pounds and play usa for 30 quid.
Hannibal Rising is another blu-ray available but I know nothing about it as I have never seen it.

Re: Hannibal Lecter films on Blu?

It's been reported that the Hannibal disc on the US Blu-Ray Lecter trilogy is region-coded while Manhunter and SOTL are both region free.
