just done a google search for you on this recorder , and according to the results it does not play either type of HD disks , so I think you are wasting your time trying to use any HD disks in this recorder

at no point are HD disks of either type mentioned
as for multi region , it appears it can be done but I suppose it may need a service remote or something similar like the sony does
so what makes you think it does HD disks ?
