I've just purchased this machine from Richersounds ,cause it is a really good price...after using the DVD player or using the hard drive I put the machine in standby,but after only a minute the machine goes into e p g (electronic program guide)this goes on for over 30mins.iits really noisy it's just like having it switch on...can this be stop or is it just natural fror the sony hdx 995 to do this.....

its natural and happens 2 or 3 times a day , once is overnight at maybe 0500 am

its perfectly normal for it to do this when in standby , and no you have no control over it

It doesn't last 30 minutes though does it? Mine lasts about 2 minutes.
