Buying a DVD recorder from Amazon

Has anyone ever bought a DVD recorder from Amazon? I need a new Panasonic one. Well 2 actually, as the one downstairs is on it's way out too. Just wondering if it was safe to buy them from Amazon as it looks like I could save alot (for new ones).

Yes, I have bought two, the EX83 for myself and the EX773 for a friend. Both came promptly and have given no trouble - so far!

Bought two in the past - a long time ago. Both served me well, and Amazon were quick to replace one which developed a fault.

+3 for Amazon. I bought my Panasonic from them about three years ago. Prompt service, no complaints.

I will confirm that they enjoy a good reputation here.

I cannot recall any problems aver being reported.
