No epg on panasonic dvd recorder cant record !

I Have a Panasonic Dvd Recorder ( DMR -EZ27EB )
When I press the guide button on the remote this usually brings up the channels and programmes so i can set to record. It is saying
" No Guide " and No programmes come up, I dont remember pressing any buttons or anything that could have knocked it off sync - can anyone help me out ?
Also on the display of the actual dvd recorder itself it says "A1" wherer i think it usually displays the time ?????
HELP !!!!!
I have retuning the tv but no luck

please help

Have you tried retuning the DVD recorder.
If yes and it still does not work plug the aerial lead into the TV and check it works there.

Welcome to the forum.

A1 on the display simply means that you have the AV1 scart selected as the input.
Press the AV button on the remote [ to the right of Zero ] and cycle through the option until you get back to the tuner channels.

After that, if you still have no EPG, or channels, check that the aerial is connected... if OK, Press the channel up and the channel down buttons simultaneously for at least five seconds on the unit itself .

This will invoke a reinstall and retune.
