Panasonic S75(player) with Panasonic E50

I'm sure I've read here of some people connecting these two together so hopefully they can help out with this slight problem.

My son has the S75 player and has just added the E50 to replace his VCR. Technically I suppose he doesn't need both but will probably keep it as the S75 can play some DVDs that the E50 can't.

However I've just noticed that the E50's remote also controls the S75. This may not be a big problem until he'r recording something on the E50 and watching a DVD on the S75. Any way round this?

I don't know about the E50 but the E85 has a choice of three remote control codes.

Thank you. I had a quick look through the manual last night but couldn't see this. A slow look through the manual and I've found the appropriate page.
