Pioneer 5100 Menu problem.

When I copy a playlist from the HD to a blank -RW disc, even tho I have named the disc, and each chapter, I cannot get it to display a menu of chapters when the disc is loaded, other than the name of the disc. Can anyone help, please. I am doing something wrong, but I can't remember and the manual doesn't tell.
Thanks.

I take it you mean each title? If it is thsi it is the home menu you are after this is accessed via the playlist/menu button on the remote, this should then show each named title on the disc. If you actually want the chapters this is accessed via the home menu button and then the button at the top right of the display (cant remember the name as am at work). The chapters are not graphic though - just a numeric display.
As an aside I believe if you do a HD to Disc copy there are certain conditions that you have to input and some of these do not copy any Chapters across from the hard-drive, I believe hi-speed copy is one of these.
Hope this is of help
Regards

Just to clarify, also, if I take the disc out and play it in another DVD player, it won't show the menu there either, although it plays each chapter OK.

Sometimes the DVD will just go straight onto the film etc so that isn't to unusual. Can you actually get the menu screen at all by pressing the menu button on the dvd player as per my other post?

No, I can't get the menu of the disc up at all, on either machine. Just the disc name is shown.
(I used to be able to do it, but I guess I am doing something wrong, now !
It should show the coloured menu screen with all the titles on it, when you load the disc, before you play anything.

One other thing, I seem to remember there was an edit screen on which you could choose what type of menu background you wanted, but I can't find it now. Maybe this is the clue ?
Where is it ? It's not in the disc setup menu, where you can input the disc name.
Thanks in advance.

Yeh, thanks, you are right, it is in the "Finalising" menu, but if you use a -RW disc, it has to be initialised in "Video mode" rather than the default "VR" mode. This will then enable the menu screens to show when the disc is first inserted.
I should have checked page 60 of the manual !
Thanks to all for the help. ( What a great forum this is ! )
