Sony RDR-HXD890 16:9 dubbing to 4:3 ?

Question Sony RDR-HXD890 16:9 dubbing to 4:3 ?
Hi.

I've recorded some 16:9 programmes on my Sony RDR-HXD890 HDD, which playback fine in 16:9. However, when I dub them to DVD (only tried high speed dubbing) they playback in 4:3 off the DVD. Any ideas why this is?

Possibly because you are using '+' type discs.

For other possible reasons see page 39 Column B of the manual.
