PVR and DVD recording from TV

Advice needed please how to connect a TV (Panasonic TX-L 32S10B) to DVD recorder (Panasonic DMR EX75) and also a PVR/HDD freeview box (Humax PVR9300T500) to enable the following:

-record from TV to PVR HDD and view from PVR to TV;
-record from TV to DVD recorder and view from DVD to TV

More info:

I have a selection of HDMI, scart and RF cables.

Panasonic TV has antennna in, 3 HDMI slots and and 2 scarts AV1 and AV2).

Humax PVR has 1 HDMI, VCR scart, TV scart, RF in and out.

Panasonic DVD has 1 HDMI out, AVI TV scart, AV2 (Ext) scart and RF in and out.

Many thanks

Hi

To simplify things it is worth noting that.

The Humax 9300 records from the aerial using it's built in tuners and is not capable of recording from the TV. So only input into Humax requred is a RF lead, output HDMI to TV.

Hope that helps.

Welcome to the forum.

Firstly the aerial chain:

Aerial to Humax in.
UHF Flylead from Humax aerial out to DVDR aerial input.
DVDR aerial output to TV aerial in.

Next you can optionally use scarts or use HDMI for viewing both devices.

Switching behaviour and general use will be different according to which you choose.

IF Scart:

Connect a fully wired scart from Humax AV1 to to DVDR AV2

Connect a fully wired scart from DVDR AV1 to TV AV1

In EX75 menus ensure Power save mode is set to OFF and change an output setting:
In Functions / To others / Setup / Connections change AV1 output from RGB 2 to RGB 1

With this connection system all programming comes through the one connection to the TV.
You will see the Humax:
1- When the DVDR is switched OFF
2 - When the DVDR is timer recording.
3 - When AV2 is selected as the input when the DVDR is ON.

Copying from Humax to DVDR will be in the best possible RGB.

If HDMI

Connect HDMI lead from EX75 to TV HDMI 1 on TV

Connect HDMI lead from Humax to HDMI 2

Connect a fully wired scart from Humax AV1 to Ex75 AV2 for copying purposes.
