Who knows... A search on VCDHelp and even Google revealed absolutely nothing on this player so it's most likely going to be a case of waiting until someone buys one...

Well I suppose RS might know. Give them a call, they are usually helpful and if they don't know they won't lie to you :-)

Really? I've been stiffed by them once before, but they wanted to know who said it as they were having a grieveance proceudre against a current employee (I never take their names when I call up, they can always lie!). If you write to Julian Richer and complain, you get a £20 voucher back :-)

I think it's more than fair to say that their Customer Service Policy is excellent, what does tend to be a bit of a talking point however is the knowledge, and sales techniques of some of their staff. To be fair though, this could be as true of near enough any company...

Just do a search on here for past threads and you'll come up with a few examples I'm sure

They were advertsising one for £39.95 last month on their website, but you couldn't buy it over the internet as it was "in store only". So I went into the Plymouth store and the sales guy said he had never heard of it and didn't have any in stock, but he would be happy to sell me the next model up for an extra £20! Funny that!

In that case, write to Julian and tell him. My friend at work went in to buy a cheap CD player, but they told him that it was crap and to buy the next model up. He wrote to Julian asking why they sold 'crap' and Julian sent him a £20 voucher :-)

It certainly helps keep the customer in the long term.
